How to Use RE-STORE E (Eezi-Off)

Follow these 6 steps for clean, scratch-free tape removal.

Safety & Protective Measures: It is advisable, but not a requirement, to work with protective gloves and eye protection to reduce risk of minor skin or eye irritation. Always keep this product securely out of reach of children.

Apply to Sponge: Apply a liberal amount of Re-Store E (Eezi-Off) onto a soft sponge or cloth applicator.

Dab the Tape: Dab the saturated sponge generously across the tape or adhesive residue requiring removal.

Allow to Soak: Allow Eezi-Off to soak into the tape matrix for 1 to 2 minutes so the active agents dissolve the adhesive glue.

Sun-Baked Tape Exception: For hard, sun-baked tape that has been exposed for months, allow Eezi-Off to soak for up to 5 minutes.

Remove with Plastic Scraper: Carefully peel and lift the tape off the surface using a plastic scraper. (DO NOT USE A METAL BLADE).

Repeat & Clean: Should any sticky residue remain behind, repeat the process, then wash clean with Re-Store C.

After Tape Removal

Clean & Protect the Newly Exposed Aluminium

Once construction tape is removed, the exposed aluminium is vulnerable to oxidation. Wash the area thoroughly with Re-Store C, then seal with Re-Store P for long-term UV protection.

Frequently Asked Questions

Metal razor blades and Stanley knife blades are much harder than aluminium powder coating. They inevitably score, cut, and gouge the protective coating, exposing raw aluminium underneath to moisture and pitting corrosion. Re-Store E chemically dissolves the glue so you only need a flexible plastic scraper.
Re-Store E is safe on standard architectural glass and is designed for window frames. However, we recommend avoiding saturated, prolonged pooling directly on rubber glazing gaskets. Wipe away any drips promptly with a damp cloth.
For severely sun-baked tape where the carrier backing is brittle, apply Re-Store E generously and allow a full 5-minute dwell time. If the plastic carrier is completely hardened, lightly score the top surface with a plastic scraper to allow the liquid to penetrate straight into the adhesive glue.
